My memories of Jane Marco and I first met Jane some 30 years ago when we had a mutual contact locally with a gentleman with an alcohol addiction. Jane hosted him and honourably sought to show care in difficult circumstances. Our reconnection with Jane then happened a number of years later as members of the same church. From about 7 years ago I supported Jane with her garden which she loved to sit in until her lack of mobility prohibited her from doing so. As many others will echo her priorities were her faith and connecting with people (family, friends, neighbours and anyone else who came across her path). She would not major on the difficulties, but find the positive. She was young at heart, had a warm sweet smile, and a twinkle in her eye. She loved bright colours, frills and refined dress. She cared and prayed for many, her phone a hotline of connection, and I think the number of cards she sent me of thanks and appreciation top anyone else. These are the memories of Jane I’ll cherish.
